Ongoing Classes, workshops & other offerings

A sampling of some of the classes, workshops & other events that our graduates & associate teachers are offering around the country.  Cathy is on sabbatical from leading trainings and retreats for 2015-16, while she works on two books, develops The Farm, spends time with her family, reconnects with her theater roots through teaching acting with her husband Paul, & learns how to ever more deeply savor life.  She will lead one workshop in July, at Kripalu Center in Massachusetts.

We did it!  A successful fundraiser brought in over $10,000 from more than 120 friends.  Enough to complete our beautiful deck and studio - next up: swimming pond in the forest, screened gazebo and hot tub!  We're looking forward to many wonderful, nourishing, celebratory, healing gatherings over the years in our new home on the mountaintop - yoga, meditation, dance, theater, ceremonies - we welcome all to join us. See below for more info and pics of the Farm.  And visit our fundraiser page to learn more about what we're doing, and if the spirit moves you, make a contribution to keep the energy flowing - any amount is welcome, nothing is too small :)

Come up to the beautiful Berkshire Mountains and join us for a wonderful weekend of yoga, dance, drumming, hiking, swimming and all-around love-fest! Return to a state of ease and inner peace through yoga, and then roll up your mat, hit the dance floor, and free your spirit to the intoxicating rhythms of salsa! You don’t need a partner, and no previous dancing or yoga experience is required; with Cathy, Ronnie & Lizzie's playful, user-friendly instructions, even die-hard “can’t drag me on the dance floor” types will be struttin’ their stuff in no time.  All levels welcome.

The combination of the expansive, ecstatic celebration of Latin music and dance, and the reflective, relaxing aspects of yoga offers a powerful opportunity for freedom. Come join us as we...

~~   Unwind, release layers of stored tension, and deeply renew through yoga postures, breathing, and relaxation
~~   Experience the exuberant joy and captivating rhythms of salsa
~~   Explore how the spiritual and cultural evolution of the roots of salsa complement the path of yoga
~~    Learn chanting from both the yogic and Afro-Cuban traditions as a way to open the door to Spirit.

Visit  www.kripalu.org  for registration details.

THE FARM
CREATING A SACRED GATHERING GROVE
Picture
Picture
  • In 2013 Cathy purchased 17 acres of land high up in the northern Catskill Mountains of Upstate New York, with the vision of creating a beautiful refuge in nature for all to gather.  It is a co-creation with nature and the women who've completed the training program, along with friends and family, all working together to come into harmony with the mountains, streams, woods, and creatures, to create a sacred space that we can retreat to and renew our commitment to our path as healers in every sense of that word.  We're envisioning gatherings of all types - yoga and meditation retreats, dance celebrations, ceremonies of initiation and renewal, gatherings around the fire with song and chant, riding horses up into the mountains, romping in the beautiful cool stream, and plenty of time and space for joyful gathering and feasting in the company of old friends and new.  We've been hard at work clearing, building, dreaming, we've built a large deck with glorious sunrise views, and we recently completed a successful fundraising campaign of $10,000 for completion of a beautiful multi-purpose studio.  Next up: a lovely forest grove spring-fed swimming pond and bunkhouse dorm cabin.  Please join our growing community and help us continue to  "raise the barn!"  The link for more info and contributions is:  http://www.gofundme.com/buildingamountain
